TEE SE ITSE. KÄSINOJA, JUOMAPIDIKKEILLÄ.
(DIY. ARMREST WITH DRINK HOLDERS. English, writing at the bottom)

Käytiin tuolla rakentaja messuilla, ja näin tällaisia käsinojia joissa oli juomatelineet. En tiiä miksen oo aikasemmin ees ajatellu, mutta nythän se vasta onkin tarpeellinen kun tuo olohuoneen pöytä pieneni kolmannekseen 😄
Onhan tällaisia autoissakin takapenkeillä ja nuissa elokuva sohvissa.

SOHVAN KÄSINOJA

AUTON KÄSINOJA

En jaksanu kurotella enää pöydälle niin päätin tehä tällaisen erillisen liikuteltavan käsinojan, ja onhan se hyvä jos porukkaa on enemmänkin kylässä ja vietetään iltaa juominkien merkeissä.

Mullahan melkein kaikki tarvittava löyty kotoa, mutta juoma telineet puuttu.
Sitten muistin että vaimon sukulaispojat teki veneeseen juomapidikkeet tällaisista pelti kupeista.

PELTIKUPPI

Näitähän löyty puuilosta, 1,5€ kappale, eli ei hinnalla pilattu 😄
Näistähän ei tarvinnu ku poistaa nuo kahvat, jotka lähtiki irti ihan vaan vääntelemällä.

KAHVAN IRROITUS

Lastulevyä löyty yläkerrasta tarpeeksi tähän projektiin

LASTULEVYÄ

Kaikki palat tulee yleensä vietyä vintille ku ei kannata lähtä viemään kaatopaikalle vajaita kuormia 😄
Ja sitten oli tuota vanhaa kuramattoa palanen autotallissa (eikä ees kurasta 😄)

KURAMATON PALA

Olipa hyvä että senki oli säilyttäny 😆
Oli mulla yks projekti sitä varten, mutta sitä pysty lykkäämään tämän tieltä.

Mittailin ja leikkailin lastulevyt valmiiksi.
Ajattelin että 25senttiä leveä ja 40 pitkä, 15-16 korkea riittäis.
Nyt piti vaan muistaa pidentää kansilevyä 2,2senttiä ku reunat tuli kannen alle tappiliitoksella kiinni. (levy 1,1senttiä paksu)
Tämmöset pikku sahauksethan menee käsinkin... Vaikka parin sahauksen jälkeen rupesinki ettimään mun sähkösahaa... Eihän se toiminu nii piti leikata loputki käsin

SAHAUS

Ensin ajattelin että teen pohjanki tähän, mutta eihä nuita kuppeja tuolta kaivais millään irti...

Sitten porailua. Eli ensin tapeille reiät.
Merkkasin tuon terän sillain ettei se mene kansilevystä läpi

TERÄN MERKKAUS

Vaikka eipä sillä ois ollu merkitystä koska päälle tulee tuota kura mattoa. Ja tapit ois saanu paremman pidon jos ois ollu läpi asti.

Joka sivulle 3 reikää ja reunalevyihin pitemmät reiät reuniin.
Ei oo paljo pelivaraa ku tappi on 5mm leveä ja levy 11 milliä 😉

PORAUS

Vielä tarvi tehdä reiät näille mukeille ennenku aloin laitteleen kasaan levyjä.

Ei ollu sopivaa reikäporaa, niin porasin vähän pienemmällä.
Ajattelin että helposti saa sitten isonnettua reikiä... Not

KUPPI PAIKKOJEN PORAUS

Koska se pistosaha ei toiminu että ois saanu isonnettua nuita reikiä niin piti sitten keksiä jotain muuta.
Tällaista taktiikkaa käytin nuiden sormusten tekemiseen ja ajattelin että saattais toimia tässäkin.
Pulttiin ilmastointiteipillä hiomapaperia kiinni ja ei muutako poraamaan.

REIKIEN HIONTA

Ihmeen kauan se otti, mutta löysin sitte yhden hionta terän tuohon mun tamforsin miniporaan. Sillä sitten loput

Liimalla (Käytin perus erikeepperiä) tapit ja levyt paikalleen.

TAPITUS JA LIIMAUS

Tuohon ois sivuillekkin voinut laittaa tapit, mutta ajattelin että liima ja matto kyllä pitää sen paikallaan.

Eihä mulla ollu puristimia niin koitin ensin laittaa vedon kuparijohdolla, mutta sehän katkes.
Ainut vaihtoehto oli käyttää aina luotettavaa ilmastointiteippiä 😂

LIIMAUS

Eihä ne nuo reunat ihan kohillaan ollu, mutta liimaa raot täyteen ja sitten ooteltiin kuivumista.

Seuraavaan aamuun oottelin että liima kuivu ja aloin laitteleen mattoa laatikon

Just riitti tuo kuramatto. Sain kannen ja reunamaton leikattua ja aloitin kiinnittelyn reunoilta.
Etupäästä aloitin liimaamalla ja niittarilla kiinnittämään.

MATON KIINNITYS

Samalla tavalla kiersin ja saumakohta jäi taakse.
Leikkasin vähän korkeamman matosta, että sai käännettyä ylimääräiset tuonne alle. Eipähän murene tuo lastulevy sohvalle.

REUNOJEN KIINNITYS

Tämän jälkeen vuorossa oli kannen kiinnitys.
Aika just oli tuo maton reuhkana, mutta just riitti.
Kanteen reiät mukipaikoille ja kiinnitys liimalla ja niiteillä.

KANNEN KIINNITYS

Niittejä piti vielä vähän naputella vasaralla sisemmäs, ja kyllä ne silti pikkusen näkyy, mutta sehän ei haittaa... Kuka niitä joutaa katteleen, kuhan saa kal... juoman pysymään pystyssä

Valmis.

Hyvin pelittää eikä oikeastaan edes erotu tuosta sohvasta. Onhan se vähän karkea kun kerta mattoa on, mutta ei haittaa

Helppo tehdä ja hyvä lisä sohvalle.
Sen voi vaikka sitten nakata komeroon feng suin tieltä kun sitä ei tarvi 😂

DIY. ARMREST WITH DRINK HOLDERS. English, writing

We vivited the builder fair and i saw these armrests with drink holder. I dont know why i havent think of this earlyer. Mayby because i havent need this before.
I made our new design livingroom table, and it 3th of the size that it used to be... now i needed this sofa extension armrest 😄
These are also in cars and some theatre sofas

SOFA ARMREST

CAR ARMREST

I was frustrated to reach for the beer from the table, so now i thought i make this sofa armrest with drink holders.
This is gonna be good if theres more people and u spend your evening drinking beer with friends .

I almoust got every piece at home but still needed cups for this armrest.
Then i remembered that my wifes relatives made drink holder to boat from these tin cups.

TIN CUP

These i found from store, 1,5€ / piece. Not expensive 😄
I only had to remove the handles, that got off just by twisting them.

REMOVING THE HANDLE

I had enough chipboard for this project

CHIPBOARD

I always save even the smallest pieces, because you never know when u need it 😄
And theres no need to take small amounts to the dumb.
And then i had piece of this old mudmatt (not even muddy 😄)

MUDMATT PIECE

Thank god i had saved this piece too 😆
I had one project for this matt, but i can push it for later.

I measured and cutted the chipboard ready.
Thought i make it 25sent wide and 40 long. 15-16 height would be enough.
Just had to remember to make the lid 2,2sent longer, because the sides comes under it with woodpeg connections. (Board was 1,1 sent thick)

These smaal sawing goes whit handsaw... Even when i started to search my keyhole saw after few saws... It didnt work, so i had to saw the rest too with handsaw.

SAWING

First i thought i make bottom to this too, but how would i get the cups of, if they gather some condension water from beer can... so i didnt make it with bottom board.

Then some drilling. First needed to make some holes for the woodpegs.
I market the drill pit with tape, so it wont go through the board.

DRILL PIT MARKING

It wouldnt matter if it would go through. Mayby it would have been better if the did. It would come stonger hold, and there was conna be matt over them.

Every angle had 3 holes and the upright boards had taller holes for the woodpegs.
There was not mutch room for errors, because the board was 11 mill thick and the woodpegs are 5mill 😉

DRILLING

I needed to make the holes for the cups before i started to assembly these boards together.

I didnt have suitable hole drill, so i made a bit smaller hole. I thought i can easily open it up when done... not

CUP HOLE DRILLING

Because my keuhole saw didnt work, i had to think of something else.

I did my ring experient whit this sort of tactick, and thought it will work on this too.
I attached tome sandpaper to bolt with ducktape and started the sanding / drilling.

CUP HOLDER MAKING

It took a while, and gladly i found one sandingpit to this tamfors minidrill. I used that for the rest of sanding.

Glued (with ordinary wood glue) to glue the woodpegs and boards together.

PEGGING AND GLUING

I could of add the pegs for the sides too, but i thought that tha glue and matt will hold it together.

I didnt have any clamps so i tryed to hold it together with copper wire, but that broke.
So the only option that i had was the Ducktape 😂

GLUING

Those sides wasnt very accurate, but i just filled them with glue and then we waited it to dry

It was so late, so i let it dry to next morning before i started to put the matt on.

My matt was just enough. I cutted the top and the sides i made from one piece.
I started with the sides. From front to back, glued and stapled in on.

MATT ATTACHING

Seam stayed to the back, hide.
I used a bit higher matt so i could turn them under the box.
That chipboard is so messy so it wont do so much mess when theres matt under the edges.

ATTACHING EDGES

After this there was the top part.
My rug was just enough for the top, barely covered the chipboard.
I cutted the holes for cupholders and attached with glue and staples.

ATTACHING THE TOP

Had to tap those staples a bit with hammer, but u can still see them, but not much.
Who has time to watch staples when u have bee.. drink that hold upright by itself 😉

DONE

That does what it suposto do, and doesnt even stand out much from sofa.
Its a bit rough because its mud matt, but doesnt bother so much.

Easy to make and goos add for big sofa.
U can easily remove it from your "feng shui" and throw it to closet if u dont need it  😂
(I think there where its at in our place 😏)

TEE SE ITSE ILMAN VIILENNIN
(DIY AIR COOLER, English writing below)

Nyt ajattelin kirjotella tästä ilman viilentimestä minkä viimevuonna kyhäsin kokoon kaapeista löytyvistä osista.

ILMAN VIILENNIN

MINI TUULETIN

Viime vuonna oli pari hellepäivää ja kämppä oli ku sauna.
Yritettiin pitää ovia auki (ristiveto) mutta nuita kaikenmaailman öttiäisiä rupes ryömii ja lentää sisälle.
Kattotuuletinhan meillä on myös, mutta sehän kierrättää vaan lämmintä ilmaa 😡

Semmonen siirreltävä ilmastointilaitehan ois kätevä, mutta ku ei ole oikein räppänöitä kämpässä niin ei viitti porata reikääkään seinään ett sais korvausilmaa laitteeseen... Eikä muutenkaa kuulemma tarvi semmosia laitteita 😄

Meillä oli ylimääräisenä tällainen sturoksinen kylmälaukku joka sopi hyvin tähän projektiin.

KYLMÄLAUKKU

Muistinki että mulla on nuita vanhoja tietokoneen tuulettimia jemmassa... Iha vaa varalta 😄
Eihän sitä koskaan tiiä jos tietokonetta vaikka päivittää ja tarvii paljo tuuletusta ettei pala koko pas...

TIETOKONEEN TUULETIN

Kaksihan mulla näitä löyty ja arvelin että niillä sais paremman tuuletuksen... mitä enemmän sen parempi, vai?
Toisessa tuulettimessa on säätö nopeudelle, mutta en ottanu sitä pois, jos sitä vaikka tarvii johonki muuhun projektiin 😉

Sitten löysin tuolta yläkerrasta pätkän tuollaista haitariputkea, jonka lopulta vääntelin kaarevaksi.

HAITARIPUTKI

Sitten vaan reikää kylmälaukun kanteen, putkelle ja tuulettimille. (leikkasin vaihtoterä leikkurilla)
Kuumaliimalla kiinnitys

LIIMAUS

 Mulla oli nuita akkuja varastossa niin tein tämän alkuperäisen version kahdella akulla. Kummallekkin akulle oma tuuletin.

KAHDELLA AKULLA

Abiko liittimiähän löytyy kaikilta 😉
Sopiva liitin johdon päähän ja punainen johto akun+ napaan ja musta - napaan.
 (jos yhdellä akulla kaksi tuuletinta. Punaiset johdot yhteen ja sitten + napaan. Sama mustille)

Tuohon väliinhän voi myös laittaa kytkimen virralle, mutta en ite jaksanu ruveta räpeltään. Sehä o päällä nii kauan ku kylmää riittää 😉

Tässä uudessa versiossa ei ole ku yksi akku, ja hyvin riitti virta niin kauan ku jäätä riitti.

Kylmäkalleja oli tuossa pienessä versiossa, mutta tähän isompaan ajattelin jäädyttää 1,5 litran muovipulloista jääkalikoita.
Käytin kaiken näkösiä pulloja mitä löysin ja mahollisimman paljon.
Mitä enemmän sen parempi

JÄITÄ

Pullot laukkuun, kansi kiinni ja kytke akku.
Virta päälle ja kylmää tulee.

Sieltä tuli noin 15-16 asteista ilmaa putken päästä.
Pikkusen nuo tuulettimet pitää ääntä, mutta helpompi esimerkiksi nukkua kun tuon laittaa makuuhuoneeseen puhaltaan.
Ja jos vielä haluaa modifoia nii laittaa vielä kääntyilevän puhaltimen tuohon putken taa, joka levittää kylmää laajemmalle 😄

LÄMPÖTILA

Hyvä kuumiin kesäpäiviin... Voit myös laittaa kaljat kylmeneen tuonne vähäksi aikaa ;)

DIY AIR COOLER, English writing

I thought i write about this air cooler that i made last year from parts that i found at home.

AIRCOOLER

MINI AIR COOLER

Last year we had few hot summer days and our house was like sauna.
We tryed to keep the doors open, but all kind of crawlers and flying stuff wanted in.
We also have sealingfan, but that just rotates the hot air around 😡

The store bought air cooler would be great, but we dont have any ventilation windows, so i would have to make hole to the wall to get the fresh air in... And we dont need that sort of device here... So ive told 😄

We had one useless sturofoam cooler that was great for this project.

COOLER BOX

I remembered that i have few computer coolers stached... just in case. 😄
Never know if i update my computer and need lot more cooling, so the whole shi.. wont burst to flames.

COMPUTER FAN

I found two of these fans and thought that more is better... right?
Secon fan has the speed adjustment controller, but i didnt remove that. I just might need it later  😉

Then i found piece of this kind of bendable pipe, that i bended to curve.

BENDABLE PIPE

Then i cutted places in the cooler lid, for pipe and fans. (Cutted with box cutter)
Attached parts with hotglue.

GLUING

I had these 12 volt scooter batterys and the first version had 2 batterys. Both fans had own battery.

COOLER WITH 2 BATTERYS

Everyone have Abiko connectors, right 😉
Suitable connector to the end of the cable. Red cable is positive + and black is negative -.
(If you use only one battery. Connect the 2 red cables together and add abiko connector. Same for the black cables.)

U can also add on/off switch between the negative cable, but i didnt see that was nessesary. It will blow as long as theres cold air, or the battery ends 😉

This new version only has 1 battery and it lasted long enough to ice melt completely.

The smaller cooler only had these ready icepacks, but this bigger version i used iced 1,5 litre plastic bottles.I used all sort of bottles that i could find.
This time more is better !

ICE

Insert the frozen bottles to the box, lid on, connect battery and theres cold air.

My box pushed about 15-16 degrees air out.
This will help to sleep if theres very hot.
If you want to modify more, add some turning fan over the box and it will rotate more air to your room 😄

TEMPRATURE

Good for hot summer days... You can put your beers there too to get them cold ;)
